Get Involved
Start volunteering with RYT!
We’re always on the lookout for volunteers! Our team is quite small, and we can’t always get to the things that need a little love.
Some of the things that sometimes fall between the cracks:
- Driving kids to and from classes (vehicle provided)
- Helping us keep organised
- Administrative support
- Office odd jobs
- Digitizing our extensive paper collection
- Assisting with working bees
- Cleaning tasks
- Making props
- Bring your puppies in for pets, the team loves emotional support
If you’re unsure of where you best fit, email admin@ryt.org.au and you can tell us about your skills and interests, and we can suggest some ways you could get involved.
You will be required to provide us with a DCSI or National Police check and to abide by our Child Safe Environments policy.
Tutor a Class
Do you have an idea for a class? Pitch it!
Take the stage as an RYT tutor! We’re always looking for ways to build the skills of our participants and our tutors. Do you have a skill or a topic that you want to share with us?
Here are some examples:
- Jay loves gaming (he’s our Gaming Master for a reason!) and teaches Dungeons & Dragons classes and hosts gaming days.
- Mel works with computers every day and thought there would be some interest in learning how to take apart and put back together computers, phones and tablets.
- Fleur has a Masters in Playwriting and was a lecturer at Monash University, she now directs shows with our young and emerging actors.
