Colouring young peoples lives through art for over 34 years

The Riverland Youth Theatre has a long history of engaging young Riverlanders in the ARTs, helping to enrich their lives whilst supporting and developing their creativity and artistic expression.

Many of our region’s community leaders today can tell a story or two of their involvement with the Riverland Youth Theatre during their formative years. In fact, the positive impact that the ARTs can have on young lives is well documented in providing vital support to build self-esteem, confidence, critical thinking skills and cultural understanding. Important skills to help shape the leaders of tomorrow. The Riverland Youth Theatre has provided these services for 35 years, embedding this historical organisation into the very heart of our community, helping to build its reputation as one of the leading youth arts organisations in Australia. RYT is a major ARTs resource in the Riverland.

Providing: *Links for schools to artistic opportunities * Community ARTs based projects * Development for young creatives with our weekly clubs held across the Riverland * Opportunities for Indigenous and multicultural groups to celebrate cultural diversity * National recognition for excellence in the ARTs, and so much more. And now, more than ever before, ART in its many forms plays a huge part in the culture that our young people are exposed to on a daily basis.
